Invest in Your Community

The Adopt-A-School Program began its 12th year by reaching over 7,000 elementary, middle and high school students. Adopt-A-School volunteers' dedication to the community recently made the program a finalist for the LEED Sacramento School to Career Honor Roll Awards. The Norcal Mutual Insurance Company granted the Program $5,000 to purchase teaching aids and program support.

SPIRIT volunteers have delivered free primary and specialty medical care to over 10,000 uninsured patients at a value of $2.5 million. Currently, our patient demand is huge. In just five months, we have received as many patient referrals for hernia repairs as in all of 2000.

We need your help to grow our level of commitment to creating healthier communities. Just a $50 donation will give the programs $150 towards charitable outreach, thanks to matching grants from the Sierra Health Foundation and the Sierra Sacramento Valley Medical Society. This $150 will, in turn, help three uninsured patients find needed medical care or provide 30 children with a presentation from a health care provider. We need your support by August 2001 to reach our goal!
