Annual Meeting

| Physicians, family members and medical students got together on January 24 for the Annual Awards and Installation Dinner of the Sierra Sacramento Valley Medical Society and Alliance at the Sacramento Hyatt Regency.
Dr. Roger Lieberman, a recently retired nephrologist who has practiced in Sacramento since the mid-1970s, received the Society's highest honor, the Golden Stethoscope Award, for devotion to patient care and the medical needs of the community.
Ann Haas, MD, received the Medical Honor Award for her role in creating the Sun Safe City Program, a non-profit effort in Davis to heighten awareness of excess sun exposure. The Medical Community Service Award went to Enid Milhous for her outstanding leadership as administrator of the Alliance for Excellence, which identifies and addresses barriers to learning and healthy development in six elementary schools of the San Juan Unified School District.
Mrs. Shirley Griffin was the nominee for CMA-Alliance Member of the Year, and Mrs. Yvonne Au received the Dorothy Dozier Helping Hands Award.
