Approved the following recommendations from the Executive Committee:

Approved a SSVMS study and report, with the aid of a consultant, of using tobacco tax revenue to cover uninsured children.

Approved not proceeding with a blue ribbon committee to review publication strategies for the Society's journal, and recommended the Editorial Committee continue to improve on relevancy of the journal to members.

Approved a $1,000 donation to CommuniCare Health Centers, the major source of medical care for indigent and migrant workers in Yolo County.

Approved the annual contribution of $250 to the John H. Jones and Ada Merhoff Public Service Recognition Event in Yolo County.

Approved SSVMS serving as financial intermediary for the California Medical Association's Medical Executives Retreat February 2004 in Sacramento.

Received a review of the RICO Lawsuit Settlement with Aetna Insurance from Jack Lewin, MD, CEO/EVP, California Medical Association.

Approved the First Quarter Financial Statements and Investment Reports. Also approved actions of the Executive Committee in May 2003 implementing the investment recommendations by the Society's financial consultant Smith Barney.

Approved replacing the SSVMS Pension Plan Policy for employees with a new updated policy developed by Smith Barney and Pension Plan Trustees.
