SPIRIT VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
Currently we are seeking physicians to provide free medical care for uninsured patients in the following areas of specialty:
- Dermatology
- Neurology
- Orthopedics
- Primary Care
- Psychiatry
- Rheumatology
- Urology
*Patients can be seen in your office. The SPIRIT provides case management and scheduling for all SPIRIT patients, limiting the amount of time and paper work that your office staff will have to complete.
We are also seeking physicians to act as preceptors for medical students and residents in a number of local student run clinics.
ADOPTING-A-SCHOOL
We have many needy schools that would love to have a physician volunteer in one or more of their classrooms. Typically, volunteers visit their school once per month and provide half-an-hour to one-hour presentation to one or two classrooms. Adopt-A- School volunteers work closely with school staff to ensure that the presentations are relevant to classroom curricula. The Adopt-A-School program provides teaching aides to use for presentations as well as continual support from your initial interest to providing assistance to volunteers after their placement.
HOW CAN I VOLUNTEER?
We are recruiting volunteer physicians from all areas of health care.
