This is the last of a series of six photographs of the SSVMS medical artifacts collection. This photo features amputation and other surgical instruments, syringes, an ether mask and an early stethoscope. Instruments like these, on display in cases throughout our building, elicit the most interesting responses from children and the general public. We often hear, "Ouch!"
