We hope you have taken some time to review the About us section and you are now interested in joining.
If you are a medical doctor or doctor of osteopathy living or practicing in the counties of El Dorado, Sacramento or Yolo, you may join the Sierra Sacramento Valley Medical Society (SSVMS) and the California Medical Association (CMA) through our office at SSVMS. If you live and work in another county, give us a call and we will tell you whom to contact at your local Medical Society.
Concurrent membership in both the SSVMS and the CMA is required. Membership in the American Medical Association (AMA) is voluntary, but highly recommended.
When we receive your completed application, it will be reviewed by our Membership Committee and committee recommendations are then forwarded to our Board of Directors for approval. Once application is approved, you will receive your confirmation letter, membership packet and dues invoice by mail.
First-time members of the SSVMS and the CMA applying for active membership are eligible to participate in a three-year graduated dues discount program. If you are accepted for membership and qualify for this incentive, you will be paying 50% of the dues the first year, 75% the second and full dues in the third year and thereafter.
