Elizabeth Wilson Ewing, MD (1839-1890)
Dr. Elizabeth Ewing came from Pennslvania but moved to Ohio where she was trained as a teacher. She traveled to Chicago, where she was graduated from Women's Hospital Medical College in 1884. It was here she met and married Dr. George Ewing in 1870. She and her husband came to Sacramento where they built a large practice in surgery and female diseases.
