Glass Plate Radiograph

The exposure time was 15 minutes for the hand and 30 minutes for the shoulder. Today the exposure time is less than 1/4 of one second for either examination. Orginally the silver crystals were applied directly to a glass plate. Now it is applied to a cellulose base much the same as in ordinary camera film or performed with digital image sensors. Made prior to 1910.
