Volunteer

Physician with patient

The Sacramento Physicians’ Initiative to Reach out, Innovate and Teach (SPIRIT) program recruits and places physician volunteers in community clinics to provide free medical services to our region’s uninsured. The SPIRIT program also provides physician volunteers and case management for surgical procedures, including hernia and cataract repair, at local hospitals and ambulatory surgery centers. Physicians wishing to volunteer primary or specialty care services are encouraged to complete our Volunteer Application.

For more information on volunteering, download our Physician Volunteer FAQ or contact the SPIRIT program at (916) 453-0254 or cserf@ssvms.org.
