PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

Medi-Cal Expansion

The new Medi-Cal expansion and increased rates to providers hold significant importance for several reasons. First, the expansion aims to broaden access to healthcare for low-income individuals and families who may have previously been uninsured or underinsured. This is crucial for addressing health disparities and ensuring that vulnerable populations receive the care they need.

Furthermore, the increased rates help ensure the sustainability of healthcare practices that serve Medi-Cal patients. Adequate reimbursement allows providers to cover their costs, maintain quality services, and invest in resources that benefit their patients.

Overall, the new expansion and increased rates to providers work in tandem to improve access to care, bolster the healthcare workforce, and enhance the quality of services available to Medi-Cal beneficiaries. This not only benefits individual patients but also contributes to the overall health and well-being of communities while addressing broader healthcare system challenges.

Thank you!
