Welcome!

The Sierra Sacramento Valley Medical Society (SSVMS) is a non-profit organization comprised of medical doctors (MD) and doctors of osteopathy (DO). Membership in the medical society is voluntary and requires concurrent membership in the California Medical Association (CMA). Membership in the American Medical Association (AMA) is optional but highly encouraged.

SSVMS members agree to abide by our Bylaws and Articles of Incorporation and the AMA's Principles of Medical Ethics. Our members cooperate with us in settling patient complaints, and they participate in a broad range of committees.

Physicians who work or live in the tri-county area are welcome to join. With over 1600 physician members in active practice and several hundred retired members, SSVMS is the largest physician organization in our region.
