After three years of pandemic operations, May 11, 2023, marks the end of the federal COVID-19 public health emergency. According to the U.S. Dept. of Health and Human Services (HHS), COVID-19 deaths have declined by 95% and hospitalizations are down nearly 91% since the peak in January 2021. 

Reminder: Medi-Cal provider enrollment flexibilities have ended

Medi-Cal providers who were temporarily and provisionally enrolled as Medi-Cal providers who wish to remain enrolled must submit a complete application and meet all program requirements if they would like to continue treating Medi-Cal patients.
