Latest News from Sierra Sacramento Valley Medical Society

Volume 7, Issue 7
July, 2018
The Sierra Sacramento Valley Medical Society is dedicated to bringing together physicians from all modes of practice to promote the art and science of quality medical care and to enhance the physical and mental health of our entire community.
Let me be the first to invite you to the Annual SSVMS Joy of Medicine Summit on Saturday, September 22, 2018 from 8:30am-2:00pm at the Arden Hills Country Club in Sacramento. You will participate in hands-on educational sessions that address mindfulness, tips for the EHR, and journaling, to name a few, to help build resilience and bring joy back to your practice of medicine. For more information or to register for the summit please visit the Joy of Medicine Summit Page.
Additionally, we are asking physicians and medical students to participate in Lightning Grand Rounds at the Annual Summit! A lightning talk is a very short presentation lasting only a few minutes, given at a conference by a multitude of speakers. The goal of a lighting talk is to articulate a topic in a quick, insightful, and clear manner. This year we are asking physicans to share your thoughts, projects and ideas that support physician well-being. The prompt is: what does Joy of Medicine feel, look, and/or sound like to you? If you are interested in submitting a presentation, please visit the Lightning Grand Rounds Page for more details.
I look forward to seeing you at the Annual Joy of Medicine Summit!
Rajiv Misquitta, MD
Sierra Sacramento Valley Medical Society President
