Shields Up

Hospitals are critically low on masks. SSVMS is partnering with Rocklin based company The Hacker Lab to manufacture and distribute  face shields at no cost to physicians on the frontlines. To learn more about the project, visit OpShieldsUp.org

Donations are needed to pay for materials. Please help us protect those on the frontlines of this crisis.
PPE and Mask Donations

PPE Donations

SSVMS is accepting donations of PPE for distribution to hospital, clinics and physician practices. Masks (N95, Surgical, and/or cloth) are in most need. PPE can be donated to the Sierra Sacramento Valley Medical Society Office, 5380 Elvas Ave, Sacramento 95819, Tuesdays and Thursdays, 2pm-4pm. Contact Dana Brooks for more information dbrooks@ssvms.org.

Physicians Needed During Surge


In preparation for a possible surge, Sutter Health is seeking private practice and community physicians to work in the hospital should it be needed. Training and reimbursement provided. Click here for more information.

Resiliency Consultations


Now Available Remotely
As our physician community bands together during this crisis, your resiliency and well-being matters to SSVMS. 

The adage still stands, "Place the mask over your own mouth and nose before assisting others."

SSVMS's Joy of Medicine program is committed to providing local physicians with access to confidential and cost free sessions with vetted psychologists and life coaches. Physicians practicing in Sacramento, El Dorado, Yolo, and Placer Counties can access up to six (6) sponsored sessions with the provider of their choice. All Joy of Medicine providers are now utilizing telehealth and can be available after hours to address your needs. You can contact one of the providers directly to schedule an appointment at JoyofMedicine.org.

SSVMS wants you to take care of yourself. Even if only for five minutes, taking a brief moment to breathe and calm your mind can go a long way. Physician members may sign up for a one (1) year Headspace subscription, sponsored by SSVMS.
