PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

Holiday Sharing Card

This holiday season, I invite you to help lift up the next generation of physicians in our region. A tax-deductible contribution to SSVMS’s Holiday Sharing Card directly supports our Medical Student Scholarship Fund, helping students from El Dorado, Sacramento, and Yolo counties offset the rising cost of medical school. Thanks to your generosity last year, we awarded $31,000 in scholarships – real dollars making a real difference. Give by November 7, 2025, and we’ll recognize your support on the Holiday Sharing Card and in the Annual Report published in SSV Medicine magazine.

We’re also showcasing a member's talents on this year’s card. If you enjoy photography, submit a photo of yours! Please send a high-resolution, landscape-orientation winter image (minimum 1500 x 2100 pixels), along with a one-sentence note about where and when it was taken. The selected photo will appear on the cover of the 2025 Holiday Sharing Card; other submissions may be featured on the SSV Medicine cover or in a photo gallery. Please send entries to Sam Mello-Edwards by October 31, 2025.

If you've taken an interest in photography, let us showcase your work!

Each year, SSVMS recognizes supporters of our nonprofit programs through the "Holiday Sharing Card." This year, we're organizing a friendly competition to select the card's cover.

Submit your best photo to be selected as the cover of the 2025 Holiday Sharing Card!

Please submit a photo that is:

At least 1500 x 2100 pixels
High resolution
Landscape orientation
An appropriate theme for Winter

Please include a sentence describing where and when the photo was taken.

Submissions not chosen for the Holiday Sharing Card will be considered for the cover of SSV Medicine magazine or a photo gallery within the magazine.

Please submit your photos to Sam Mello-Edwards by October 31, 2025.
