SSV Medical Society News - 2017 - Volume 6 - Issue 5 - May

At the 43rd Annual CMA Legislative Advocacy Day, our county medical society had over 40 representatives that advocated on your behalf to Senators Dodd, Gaines, Pan, and Assembly Members, Aguiar-Curry, Cooley, Cooper, Kiley and McCarty. Your colleagues successfully voiced their concerns to our legislators regarding Medi-Cal reimbursement, GME funding, CURES privacy protections and reducing pressure for physicians to prescribe opioids. Thank you to the physicians, residents and medical students that participated, and as always, let me know what your medical society can do for you,

Ruenell Adams Jacobs, MD
SSVMS President
